Cuidado Diseño. Contemporary Spanish Crafts.

February 2019

In this exhibition, Madrid Design Festival aims to pay tribute to contemporary Spanish crafts.

One of the cornerstones of this exhibition is being able to show not only the end result of artisans’ work by offering a tour through the diversity of artisan products specially chosen for the occasion—ceramics, glass, textiles, wood, basketry, leather and metal—but also the different techniques applied in each of these disciplines and each artisan’s creative process.

In this way, viewers will have the opportunity to learn about some of the best crafts projects currently found all over Spain. It is a deliberate statement of intentions to rethink the use of perennial techniques and materials with the creative mindset and media of the twenty-first century.
